PA, Hamas Said To Agree On Joint Force

RAMALLAH [MENL] -- The Palestinian Authority and Hamas were again said to
have reached agreement on a joint security force.
Palestinian sources said the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip and the
ruling Fatah movement agreed to major elements of an Egyptian reconciliation
plan that could reunite the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The sources said Fatah
and Hamas approved an Egyptian proposal for a joint security force of up to
5,000 officers.
