UAE Advances In Baynounah Project

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has advanced in its project to
acquire a light naval corvette.
The UAE has overseen the construction of the first of six
Baynounah-class light corvettes for the emirate's navy. On June 25, the
first 70-meter corvette was launched by France's Constructions Mecaniques de
Normandie in Cherbourg.
