Algeria Plans New Energy Development

CAIRO [MENL] -- Algeria has approved plans for a major energy development
project.
Algeria's state-owned energy monopoly Sonatrach has joined France's
Total and Spain's Cepsa for the development of the Timimoun natural gas
project. Timimoun, located in southwestern Algeria, was expected to produce
1.6 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
