Turkey Could Invade Independent Kurdistan

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States expects Turkey to invade Iraq to stop
the establishment of an independent Kurdish state.
A U.S. government report said Ankara could attack any nascent Kurdish
state in northern Iraq. The Congressional Research Service said an
independent Kurdistan would also threaten Turkish relations with the United
States.
