IRAN CONTINUES TO SEEK U.S. NIGHT VISION SYSTEMS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Despite claims of significant technological advances,Iran continues to seek U.S. military equipment and components. U.S. officials said Iran has sought night-vision systems for groundforces that could detect infiltration from the Iraqi border. They said thesystems acquired from former East Bloc states have not been deemedsatisfactory by the Iranian military.
