Israel Tests V-22
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Israel Air Force has completed its first trials of
an advanced U.S. aircraft.
An Israel Air Force delegation boarded the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor
aircraft at a U.S. Marine Corps base in North Carolina. Officials said the
delegation first employed simulators before operating the V-22 in several
flights, which includes tests in such skills as refueling and night
operations. The aircraft was developed by Boeing and Bell Helicopter and
meant to take off as a helicopter and fly as a fixed-wing aircraft.
