Sinai Abduction Network Unveiled
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has released details of an abduction network that
operates in neighboring Egypt and consists of Bedouins on both sides of the
border.
Israeli prosecutors drafted an indictment that detailed a network of
Bedouins in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula that offers to smuggle Africans to the
Jewish state. Instead, the network, with members in Egypt, Israel, West Bank
and Gaza Strip, was said to abduct the Africans and hold them for tens of
thousands of dollars in ransom.
