ADSB Wins UAE Contracts
ABU DHABI [MENL] -- A leading Gulf Arab company has won naval contracts with
the United Arab Emirates.
Abu Dhabi Ship Building Co. has won a $125 million [460 million dirham]
contract to supply 34 high-speed interceptor boats to the UAE Critical
National Infrastructure Authority. The company said the interceptors were
designed by Turkey's Yonca Onuk and would be delivered in 2010.
"The delivery of the first boat will be within 12 months of the signing
of the contract," ADSB chief executive officer William Saltzer said.
"Thereafter, about every two weeks we will deliver one boat."
