Iraq Begins Independent C-130 Ops

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- The Iraq Air Force has begun air transport missions without being dependent on the United States.
Officials said the Iraq Air Force achieved full independence in operations of the U.S.-origin C-130 air transport. They said the air force assumed responsibility for the air transport missions in a ceremony on Sept.
29 at the Muthana air base.
