Kuwait, Turkey Plan Defense Projects

ANKARA [MENL] -- Kuwait and Turkey plan to launch defense cooperation.
Officials said the two countries have reviewed options for defense and
military cooperation. They said the options included exercises, joint training and
weapons projects.
"Turkey and Kuwait share many threats and it is natural that they
cooperate," an official said.
On June 26, Kuwaiti Defense Minister Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah met
Turkish leaders in Ankara to discuss cooperation. Officials said the two
sides focused on ways to confront Al Qaida and related threats.
