EGYPT OBTAINS U.S. HELP FOR ABRAMS TANK

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States continues to support Egypt'sproduction and assembly of the M1A1 tank. The Bush administration has approved new subsystems for the tankproject. So far, Egypt has produced more than 555 such tanks. Egypt is nowworking on assembly of another 100 Abrams tanks.
