IRAN LAUNCHES TANK CARRIER PROJECT

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has launched a project to design and produce a tanktransporter. Iranian officials said the military has begun construction of the Timaztank-transporter. The carrier is meant to be suitable to transport a rangeof Iranian tanks, particularly the Soviet-origin T-72.
