U.S. SUPPORTS EGYPTIAN MISSILE PROGRAM

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has agreed to support an Egyptianmissile program. The Defense Department has approved a project that would provide supportand maintenance to Egypt's Standard Missile-1 anti-aircraft program. ThePentagon has directed that contractors provide depot level maintenance andupgrades for SM-1 missiles, used by the Egyptian Navy.
