OMAN HELICOPTER CRASHES IN EXERCISE

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- A helicopter has crashed during an exercise by the Oman Air Force.

Officials said the helicopter crashed in the Sea of Oman near the coast on Feb. 21. They said the helicopter was on a routing training mission and nobody was killed.

The helicopter that crashed was identified as the Bell 205. Officials said the pilot and navigator were rescued.

At this point, officials said, the cause of the accident has not been determined. They did not rule out a technical failure.
