HAMAS PLANS TO TAKE OVER PA FACILITIES

GAZA CITY [MENL] -- Hamas plans to destroy the Fatah military presence in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas sources said the Executive Force and other Islamic units have been capturing Fatah-aligned security agencies of the Palestinian Authority. They said the Hamas forces have already seized numerous installations, and were expected to complete the operation by the weekend.

"We have decided to fight to the end," Palestinian Legislative Council member Salah Bardawil, a leading Hamas operative, said. "We have decided to clean the country from these ferocious [Fatah] dogs who have long been serving their Israeli masters. This is a final decision and will not be reversed."

On Tuesday, Hamas ordered Fatah to withdraw from all installations in the Gaza Strip. The installations included such PA security agencies as the Presidential Guard, National Security Forces, Military Intelligence and the Preventive Security Apparatus.
