More than a decade after the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait, the sheikdom is besieged by renewed threats from Baghdad. The threats have also included border incursions and attacks from Iraqi troops. The U.S. military has helped train Kuwaiti troops in a range of techniques, including fighting amid a nonconventional weapons attack.
