Assad Seeks To Expel Sunnis
JERUSALEM [MENL] -- President Bashar Assad and his allies intend to
expel a major portion of the Sunni majority, a report said.
The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs asserted that Assad as well
as Iran and Russia were using their nearly six-year-old war to
"depopulate" Sunni Arabs, who comprise more than 70 percent of Syria. In
a report, the center said Sunnis were being forced from their homes in
central Syria toward the borders with neighboring Jordan and Turkey.
